Attendance & absence

Every day matters.

Primary children learn fastest when they are in school. Missing even one day a fortnight adds up to losing a full month of schooling in a year. We expect attendance above 96%, and we track it carefully.

If your child is absent

Let us know.

· Call or email the office before 08:30 the day of absence.
· For illness, let us know the symptoms.
· For medical appointments, send a copy of the note.
· If your child has been absent more than three days, we may ask for a doctor's note.

Term-time holidays

Please plan around school.

We do not authorise term-time holidays except in exceptional circumstances. Our published holiday calendar is generous, so we ask families to book around it.

Persistent unauthorised absence is reviewed by the Head and may affect future admission decisions.
