Pupil voice

Even at primary, children have a say.

We listen to our pupils. Not to be fashionable, but because children who feel heard tend to behave better, work harder, and grow into adults with something to say.

The School Council

Two elected representatives from each class from Year 2 upwards. They meet the Deputy Head twice a term to discuss what is going well and what could be better.

Prefects

Year 6 children take responsibility for parts of school life: break-time games, lunch hall, library, chapel. Selected by application and a short interview with the Head.

Pupil surveys

Once a year, every child from Year 3 upwards completes a short, anonymous survey on safety, friendships, and learning. The headline findings are shared with parents and trustees.

  • · A new lunchtime quiet space, after Year 5 said the playground was too loud for some children.
  • · A revised house-points system that recognises kindness as well as effort.
