King's Grammar School is an independent school governed by a board of trustees. The trustees set strategy, hold the head to account, safeguard the school's Christian foundation, and oversee the responsible use of the school's funds.

The board meets termly, with finance and safeguarding sub-committees meeting more frequently. Minutes and an annual report are available to parents on request.
