Who we're looking for
The right teacher for King's.
- Qualified.QTS, PGCE, state certification, or equivalent. We're happy to consider candidates from the UK, US, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Kenya.
- Native English speaker with strong subject knowledge in primary literacy and numeracy. French is a strong plus but not required.
- Two years' classroom experience minimum, ideally in primary. ECTs/NQTs considered for assistant teacher roles.
- In sympathywith the school's Christian ethos. Practising Christians and those from any faith or none are welcome to apply, provided they are happy to support the school's tradition.
- Up for it. Toamasina is not London. The internet is sometimes slow. The mangoes are better. You will need to be the kind of person who finds that exciting.

- 3Teach a lesson
Teach a recorded lesson to your current class on a topic of your choice — fifteen minutes is plenty.
- 4Final interview & references
A longer video panel with the Head and a senior teacher, then references and DBS / police checks.
- 5Offer & onboarding
We aim to make decisions within four weeks of first contact. Visa and flights are arranged thereafter.
