Cambridge International curriculum. Class sizes capped at eighteen. Every child read with daily. Real science. Real maths. No gimmicks, no boxed schemes, no compromise.
Our staff are a deliberate mix of British, French, Malagasy, and other international teachers. Everyone is here for the children, not waiting for the next posting.
Toamasina is the second city of Madagascar — beach, palm trees, easy pace, real community. You will work hard, finish on time, and have weekends that feel like a holiday.
We pay properly, we house you well, and we take care of the practicalities so you can focus on the teaching. Indicative terms below — exact figures depend on experience and role and are confirmed at offer.
Competitive USD-denominated salary, benchmarked against peer schools in East Africa. Annual increments.
School-provided housing within walking distance of the school, fully furnished, utilities included.
Annual return flight to your home country, plus relocation flight at the start of contract.
International health insurance with medevac cover. Local clinic on retainer.
We sponsor your work visa and handle all Malagasy paperwork — you arrive ready to teach.
Free King's tuition for up to two of the teacher's own school-age children.
Generous school holidays — a full term in summer, plus Christmas and Easter breaks.
Airport pickup, two weeks of orientation, and a local buddy to help you find your feet.
Email us with your CV and a one-page letter about why King's interests you and what you'd bring.
If your profile fits, we have an informal video call within a week. Mostly us listening.
Teach a recorded lesson to your current class on a topic of your choice — fifteen minutes is plenty.
A longer video panel with the Head and a senior teacher, then references and DBS / police checks.
We aim to make decisions within four weeks of first contact. Visa and flights are arranged thereafter.
